At RevitaMed Health we have several options when it comes to private prescriptions. During your consultation the Doctor will ask you your preference on whether you would like your prescription sending to a local pharmacy, printed so that it can be taken to any pharmacy, or if you would like a home delivery, via CloudRx.
CloudRx is an online pharmacy and following consultation with the doctor a private prescription will be issued and sent to them to dispense. You will be contacted by the team at CloudRx for payment and providing this is received before 4pm Monday – Friday the medication will be dispatched to arrive at your door before 1pm.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be charged for a private prescription?
There is no additional charge for a prescription that is issued to you during a GP consultation. However, all prescriptions are subject to private charges by the pharmacy. At the pharmacy you will usually be charged a discretionary dispensing fee along with the cost of the medication/s.
Can the doctor prescribe a medication without a consultation?
Unfortunately, private prescriptions cannot be issued to new patients without a consultation. If you are on regular NHS medications and require an emergency supply, this can be issued with evidence of your current prescription and will be charged at a fee of £25.
What about repeat prescriptions?
We can provide repeat prescriptions for all medications that we have initiated. All you need to do is submit a prescription request via email for the GP to review. If this is for medication that was initiated by another practice then we will require documentation for our doctor to review. There is a £25 prescription charge for this service.
